If you search on Google for “Mallorca Real Estate,” Porta Mallorquina has long been available on the first page. With more than 1,700 homes in the program, the brokerage firm is one of the largest suppliers on the Internet.
Just in time for Easter, the popular website presents the now easier to use portamallorquina.com. But the biggest changes in 2012 take place on the island itself: During the year Porta Mallorquina plans to open four more property stores in Alcudia, Palma, Andratx and Santa Ponsa.
Constant High Demand
Founder and CEO Joachim Semrau is satisfied with the existing business: Porta Mallorquina is yet to feel any effects of the buying resistance, the property portfolio, the team and therefore the revenue continue to grow constantly. The 2010 re-introduced long-term rental is becoming increasingly popular, and now the portfolio in this area includes more than 250 properties.
The franchise expansion is proceeding according to plan, currently 7 of a total of 10 franchise areas are occupied, the remaining free regions of the island centre, the Northwest and Southwest 3 (Portals Nous) will be managed by Porta Mallorquina itself.
News from Palma and North Mallorca
Both regions are now run by franchise partners, but the contacts will remain the same. This is because Ria Blum (Palma region) and Sebastian Boelger (North Majorca), the former Regional Managers have taken the career opportunity and taken over their sales territory as independent franchise partners. The two new real estate shops in Alcudia and Palma will be opened in the second half of the year.
Santa Ponsa and Andratx
WIth John van Eenennaam, the new franchise partner for Southwest / Santa Ponsa, an experienced Majorcan estate agent has been decided upon for the Porta Mallorquina system, and two real pros have also been acquired for the new office in Puerto Andratx in Wolfgang Grell and Robert Rademacher. All three are well networked in the region and are currently building the real estate offer even further.
Pre-opening in the Southwest
The two new real estate shops in the Calle Saluet no. 2 in Puerto Andratx and “Boulevard Santa Ponsa” in the Gran Via in Santa Ponsa Puig des Castellet although not open officially until May / June, are both already actively in the pre-opening phase and will now be open.
