Porta Mondial and its Master franchise partners are now members of the Spanish franchise association AEF. Over 100 franchise systems are currently represented in the Asociación Española de Franquiciadores which also has a presence in the Latin American franchise market through the Federación Iberoamericana de Franquicias (F.I.A.F.).
Members of the AEF are bound by the “Código Deontológico Europeo de la Franquicia”, a Europe-wide code of conduct for franchisors. Before new members are admitted, their franchise contracts are also checked for compliance with this code.
Explaining the advantages of association membership, Petra Zimmermann, who is responsible for Franchise Relations international at Porta Mondial AG says,
“The independent examination of our contracts by a European franchise association reinforces our partners’ confidence that they have chosen the right system.”
Since the first Latin American partner has been acquired in Porta Mondial Costa Rica, and negotiations for other locations in South America are ongoing, Porta Mondial moreover believes that the link with the international FIAF association will generate valuable synergies for the further development of the system in these countries.
